About Us
I Madhav Mhaskar completed my
school education from shri samarth vidyalaya-jogeshwari, in 1989. After S.S.C.,
i completed two years mechanical draughtsman course from I.T.I in 1992. After
this I completed computer course of auto cad related to engineering drawings. At
the end of I.T.I. course only, problem started in my left eye and i gradually
lost vision of my left eye in an years time due to optic atrophy. Then onwards
my life continued only with the help of right eye sight. After that i did private job in bajsons
private limited, and supreme industries limited till the end of year 1993. In
May 1993, I started my own business in the same field with my three other
friends. From august 1993, I started part time diploma in mechanical engineering
from shri. Bhagubhai
mafatlal polytechnic-vile parle. For 4-5 months, business, job as well as
education were going on with complete enthusiasm. For complete four years my
business as well as my education was going on very well. I had high goals and
dreams which i was persuing enthusiastically. But their was something else in
my destiny. I developed problem in my right eye sight in the year 1997 and when
i was in my last semester of mechanical engineering, i lost my right eye sight
also completely in an years time. I was advised by my professors to take writer
and appear for theory exam. But as there was a big question about practicals
and no future in this field due to
complete loss of vision, i had to leave my dream.
There was actual
darkness due to loss of sight as well as darkness in life due to no ray of
hope about future. But still i did not collapse only because of my beloved
mother, loving brother and understanding friends. I came to know about IAVH
institute where computer course was being conducted for visually challanged
persons using screen reading software. This is how i got introduced to blind
community and i got direction for rehabilitation course for the blind at NAB-Mahalakshmi.
In this course i learned mobility and got confidence to travel alone seaking
others help without any kind of hesitation. I also learned massage in this
course and with this my earning started. As my father had lossed job and i had
become blind in the middle of my currier only, my elder brother was the only earning
person in the family. But because of indipendent mobility and massage as the
financial sourse, i could take atleast some financial responsibility. Being
born in brahmin family i new to do ganpati pooja and so i had this as another
financial sourse during ganpati festival.
Inspite of total blindness, definitely by god’s grace only, my life
never became stagnant.
Company of blind
friends having similar problems as me, boosted my confidence and encouragement
and support by family members and other sighted friends helped me go still
ahead. In the year 2002 i took up a two years certificate course in
physiotherapy at NAB which is recognised
by State Board of Maharashtra. Inspite of blindness, i was able to enjoy my
life with new positive things coming in my life. After completion of the course
in 2004, I worked in V. N. Desai municipal hospital[Santacruz] alon with
continuation of home visits. There after, in October 2005 significant part of
my currier started in Sindhudurg district. Dr. Jayendra Parulekar [who is the
best pediatrician in sindhudurg], happened to be the first to give me
opportunity to work as physiotherapist in Sawantwadi for the treatment of his
own father in law having paralysis. He only introduced me with the doctors from
Sindhudurg district. I got attachment in Dr. Redkar hospital-Malvan, and Dr. S.K.
Parulekar orthopedic hospital -Kudal. I started getting calls from other
hospitals also from Malvan, Kudal, Sawantwadi and Vengurle. I also started
getting home visits from different areas. Confidence that doctors as well as
patients showed in my treatment INSPITE OF MY BLINDNESS, gave me opportunity to
prove myself and I could get a huge experience in handeling different types of
orthopedic, neurological as well as pediatric cases.
In august 2006 I got married. My
wife mayuri mhaskar is also a physiotherapist and yoga therapist. She joined me
and she became part of my life as well as of my profession. She also got attachment in Dr. Redkar hospital-Malvan,
Dr. S. K. Parulekar orthopedic hospital-Kudal and Dr. Nigudkars gynecology
hospital-Kudal. In the year 2007-08, we both completed our diploma in
physiotherapy from Ahmedabad recognized by dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar open
university. In a short time we could go ahead towards our goals of basic needs having
our own residence and car as well as updating our knowledge with various newer
techniques in physiotherapy by attending different workshops on different
topics of physiotherapy.
In the life span of 2005-2017 I
could get a lot from sindhudurg district as far as my physiotherapy currier is
concerned. During this period only I could realized about the most precious thing in my life that is my sadguru’s love for
me. Only thing I missed during this period is my involvement in my sadguru’s seva
karya, my social life and my family life. This started developing thoughts in
my mind about returning back to mummbai. With sadguru’s blessings and support of my
mother in law, father in law and my family members I finally decided to come
back to Mumbai. On 28th may 2017 I could set up my own clinic-
Ambadnya health
care center At Mahim. Through this new venture, I am sure that I will be able
to fulfil all the goals of my lifewith my sadguru’s blessings.
